• games console
  An electronic device only used to play video games.

• garbage in, garbage out (GIGO)
  If incorrect data is entered into a computer for processing, the result (output) will also be incorrect.

• graphical user interface (GUI)
  Microsoft Windows is a typical example of a graphical user interface (GUI), whereby a system of windows, pull-down menus and icons make it easy for the user to communicate with the computer. Prior to GUIs, most user interfaces were purely textual.

  Software which enables the user to create and modify graphical images, including photographs.

• graphics plotter
  An output device specifically designed for producing drawings, using one or more pens. Often used by engineers or architects.

• graphics tablet
  A device used to input drawings into a computer. The user draws with a stylus on a flat pad or tablet (sometimes called a graphics pad), either copying a drawing or working freehand.

• grid
  In a spreadsheet, or table in a word processor, the grid is the table of rows and columns, into which data is entered.

• gridline
  In a spreadsheet or table in a word processor, gridlines are the lines bordering the rows and columns. Usually, gridlines can be set to display or not display.

  Programs that help people work together while in different physical locations. Groupware services can include the sharing of calendars, email handling, shared database access, electronic meetings with each person able to see and display information to others, and other activities.
